Online CE Portal
General Information
The NJSOP Online CE portal has expanded and is currently offering eleven courses, each worth 1 NJSBO Oral credit. Each course has been pre-recorded so you can participate at a time and location convenient to you.
The NJSOP will be provided with the list of doctors who have successfully completed each course, and member's CE trackers will be updated and available to view on their NJSOP profile.
Testing
Per NJSBO regulations, a test is given at the end of each course. You can take the test 3 times and must pass with a 70% or higher, after which you will be issued a CE certificate.
The NJSBO rule on testing reads: The Board shall grant a maximum of 20 of the mandatory 50 continuing professional optometric education credits, including a maximum of 10 of the mandatory 30 TPA credits required, from any or all of the following: 1) Videotape, audiotape, computer media, Internet, journal, or correspondence courses or programs. Credits
All courses are for ONLINE credit only. NOT live credit*
*On 4/13 the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs announced sixteen boards and committees, including optometry, will count all continuing education credits earned during the current public health emergency as in-person credits. Read the full press release here.
Pricing
Each course is priced at $30 for members and $45 for non-members.
